DSTV’s music channel MK has been a busy bee as of late.

Apart from going through ‘n bietjie reshuffling in their programs (Elma Smit’s left Studio 1 as a presenter leaving Jean Jordaan to man the ship solo) it’s also launched a few promo videos on MK Kanaal for something called MK Flits. Do yourself a favour and check out the Zebra & Giraffe spoof video below.

I’ve also taken quite a liking to MK Elektro and no, I’m not taking the piss.

Produced by 1 half of Double Adapter with the other half cameo-ing as a presenter, the show is farm fresh. The interviews are sharp and it’s super informative – especially for people like me who aren’t necessarily 100% clued up the type of music which they feature. But it’s presenter Sade Giliberti’s (ex child star/SYTYCD host/Survivor contestant/the 1 million other things she’s done) energy and general vibe that make that show.

Now apart from all of this going on, last week MK officially launched their live streaming Web TV channel.

This means that the channel will cover a set of live music events throughout the year (they streamed Grietfest and Zebra & Giraffe’s album launch over the weekend) that will be broadcast in real time.

You can be sure that I’ll keep you updated as to when they’ll be streaming another event so that you can test it out and give me some feedback.

The end of FOMO? God I hope so.
