Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride #2

Juke Royal Album Launch

The last time I did bulk ticket giveaways the response was so good that I thought, screw it, I’ll do the same thing this time around.

There are some quality gigs going on this weekend and because I feel for your pockets and would like you to have a rad weekend, I’ve given you a chance to win tickets to a few events happening in and around Cape Town this weekend.

So whether it’s hard rock, ‘80s inspired glam rock, electro-folk pop or just plain jolling you’re interested in, there’s something for everyone below.

2 x tickets to Juke Royal, Matthew Mole and Al Bairre at Zula. Juke Royal has been working their musical ass off to ensure that the launch of their album will be extra special. Also, all 3 of the acts performing have played at #TuesOnFire and, well, you know I’m very rarely wrong.

2 x tickets to The Narrow, Goodnight Wembley and Yes Sir Mister Machine at Klein Libertas. I actually can’t talk about the Narrow without being objective (I’m such a fan girl it’s actually ridiculous) so I just going to leave you with this piece of musical awesomeness.

2 x tickets to The Narrow, Sabretooth and Yes Sir Mister Machine at Mercury. Oh look, it’s The Narrow again. And YSMM again. AND SABRETOOTH. You’re guaranteed an evening of heavy musical insanity here.

Now if any of the above sounds appealing, all you have to do is leave a comment with the name of the band you want to see and a motivation for me as to why I should gooi you those tickets.

Winners will be notified Thursday morning via email.

AND GOOO.

  2. Ryan Matthews says:

I’m fucking poor and actually owe the guys from Juke money. Give me the opportunity to not stage dive and crush people to death – big-ginger blackmail.

There’s that, and I think it will be a nice way to ease in to Sunday.

Would LOVE to see Goodnight Wembley – some of SA’s finest musicians!
Please can I have tickets so that I can rock out LIVE!

  5. Wessel Burger says:

I would love tickets to Juke Royal’s launch because:

    - Juke royal: They smile at danger, *danger is my middle name …and I like smiles. Also, they are tight.

    - Matthew mole: This is one mole I would love to catch while its still underground.. (sorry, that was bad) Before he becomes ‘guest-judge-on-idols’ famous.

    - Al bairre: thairre provocative dance moves need to be shairred. and their e.p. was the only cd I had driving to hermanus so I know all the words (and harmonies etc)

    Thank you for your consideration

*not really my middle name.. its actually Ernst.

  6. albie visser says:

THE NARROW. they’re the best alt rock band in SA and have been for the last 10 years.
PLUS its my BIRTHDAY on saturday. im having a birthday party on saturday so i want to catch them in stellies on FRIDAY night, and kick my birthday weekend off in style. boom. the lightyear traveller.

  7. Matt Prins says:

I am absolutely desperate to see Al Bairre again, but due to spending my cash money on tickets for The Drums, I don’t have any money, no I don’t have any money…

See what I did there ;)

  8. Kieron says:

Swing me Klein Lib tickets because I’m honestly the only guy I know who would take his mum out to see The Narrow, and then of course, there’s my so called “George obsession”. Plus, if I do get em, I’ll sponsor your next cab ride home (provided we drink at your place) :-P <3
