Rihanna. Eish.

Pop phenomenon? Perhaps, but I’ve always struggled to warm to her Barbados twang, regardless of what’s going on in her personal life.

The release of her new album cover (interesting new rattoo, Riri) has sparked some outrage for being too “racy”.

Excuse me while I laugh the hell out loud. Racy? Why, because she’s got a few words superimposed/scrawled over her body?

Gimme a break.

It’s nothing a dozen other pop princesses haven’t done before. Katy Perry? Christina Aguilera? Shakira? I rest my case.

Riri’s new cover did prompt me to do some digging into other album covers that were deemed “racy” when they were released. Move your cursor over the pics below to read their FYI captions and click to enlarge. Naturally there are tonnes,  I just picked a few that I found the most ridiculous.
