With the first instalment of Rocos Live, spearheaded by RocoMamas and in collaboration with Devils Peak Brewing Company, a gigantic success, the event returns on their first Thursday with Al Clapper and Amara set to entertain.

Music starts from at 7pm and ends at 10pm at 29 Buitenkant Street Cnr, Barrack St in Cape Town. Check out more info on the artist below.

Al Clapper is a musician and lyricist, front man and vocalist for soul-hop band, androgenius. This performance will see him performing solo, completely stripped down, a tribute to the women of soul, RnB and hip-hop who have shaped and influenced his writing, way of thinking and singing.

“Music is how I process emotions and express feelings. It’s how I get to share what makes me happy and what makes me uncomfortable. It makes me feel powerful and it allows me to be at my most vulnerable. Most of all, it’s where I get to be honest,” explains Al Clapper.

Joining the fray is Amara, a Cape Town-based duo. Balancing organic instrumentation with electronic production, their sound draws inspiration from downtempo, neo-soul and alternative-pop.
