>The Lord don’t like it but the devil don’t mind – Pretty Blue Guns

>

I’m so goddam lazy today. Eish. All I’ve been doing is drinking coffee, smoking ciggies and doing some research for my next media essay – one I’m sure I’ll be complaining about in the weeks to come on this blog. Now I’ve run out of cigarettes and I’m not a happy chappy.

So what’s news today? Well. Francois and Wynand allegedly beat each other up (a fact which they are fervently denying, saying that they are “brothers”) in a drunken stupor at Aardklop. Click on the link, check the article and the photo and decided for yourselves. I pretty much have my mind made up on this one. He’s frikkin lucky he didn’t get his eye taken out.

Julius Malema is threatening Nedbank because they withdrew their sponsorship from ASA. Douche. I also saw the douche picking up his drying cleaning the other day, from across the road where my father has his restaurant, in his top-of-the-range black Maserati. Don’t hate the player…

Rockers The Pretty Blue Guns have made their crowd-pleaser tune ‘Devil Do’ available to download (for mahala) for your listening pleasure, because they’re nice like that. This song has some good life leasons. Take for example the lyrics, ‘You try to take me to the river/Try to drown my sins/Oh you might as well dunk me in a bucket of gin.’ Ah yes. Become one with the alcoholic devil within you. Click here to download the tune from Speakerbox.

Oh AND apart from the aKING video launch on Tuesday, I also hopped along to the Waiting Room to watch The Sleepers perform a nice little intimate acoustic set. The last time I saw them play this set was at Zula (last year, if my memory serves me correctly) with The Ragdolls, however flying solo this time, it was leaps and bounds better than I remember it being. If it makes the grade, hopefully my review will appear in the next LMG. And lastly, a buddy of mine tweeted about this YouTube video last night. It’s the funniest shit you’re going to see today. I guarantee it. Lekker dag kinders.
