>It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay awake when I’m asleep – Owl City

Hot off the heels of last week’s incredibly clever gig at Luna (the “swankier” bar inside The Shack) ex-Howard Roark drummer Christiaan Slabber is taking the venue on this time for his very first performance. I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while, ever since I brought you these sexay legs. Moving long…
Chris has also started recording his second album and I’m more than stoked to announce that there will be a good deal of variation of sound on this one. No monotonous choons I’ve been told. So boys and girls, here’s the poster – now mark off the goddam 17th of November. Good.
I felt very special when he sent it to me to have an exclusive peak. And I think my reaction was something like “Awwww puppy.” I’m sure he thought I was on crack. Also, if you’re wondering who the “The Current Events” are, I have to inform you that I don’t have a clue. And Chris won’t tell me. Great. That means I’ll just have to be there. Like there was ever a doubt…
Oh and become a Slabber fan here.
And finally, if you haven’t clicked on that pretty little picture in the right hand cover of this blog, please do so now. Owl City are (both hectically Christian and hectically American) the most exciting electronic project I’ve heard in a while and apparently they’re also number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in America. Hmmm. ‘Fireflies’ is by far the best tune of their album, but if you wanna have a little listen to the rest then go ahead.
But seriously, this is the most gorgeous tune you’re going to hear this week. Beleee dat.
