>And he was alright, the band was altogther – David Bowie

This morning I wrote a long and gorgeously intricate post. Then my computer had a brain fart (or perhaps I did, it really was too early to tell) and the entire post went bye bye. So I poured myself a shot of Sailor Jerry, mixed a teaspoon of warm honey and a dash of milk with it and after that was consumed, went back to bed.
I also wanted to post pics of my cross dressing escapade with Inggs on Sunday night at Mercury, but strangely enough, she hasn’t uploaded them. The comments directed my way went something along the lines of, what a beautiful gentleman/stop grabbing my ass/you hooked up with another dude in a dress? Also, my fake tash wouldn’t stick. Probably because we bought that crap a year ago and nothing made in China ever lasts that long. So I improvised with eyeliner. Made me look like a Gomorrah wannabe. I was going more for the Glambert vibe, but no matter…
Now in 2004 a movie was made by the genius that is Wes Anderson. It was called ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’ and the subsequent soundtrack was killer. But in addition to the normal standard soundtrack another one was released titled, ‘The Life Aquatic Studio Sessions’. It features Brazilian artist Seu Jorge covering 14 David Bowie songs – all in Portuguese. It’s a fucking gorgeous CD, if for no other reason than the fact that Brazilian-rooted Portuguese is one of the most beautiful languages in the world. Fact.
This little gem is for all of you, taken straight from the movie. Jammer if it takes a little long to load. It is totally worth its weight in bandwidth.
Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs acoustically in Portuguese I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with – David Bowie
[Side note: Sonja, was the honey supposed to be warm? I think I was pissed while you were reciting the recipe. Hang on… ja, ja I was. Oh well]
