Tuesday On Fire #11

I’m still on a high from the epicness of last month’s gigs.

I even had an international down for Koppi, jump onto the line-up of the first Tuesday for the month.

Let’s see if I can carry on this euphoria, yes?

Yo Grapes (Craig Durrant, drummer of Desmond and the Tutus) kick things off this week followed by a revamped Juke Royal on the 11th.

Then on the 18th the lovelies from Al Bairre get a chance to showcase their chops – I’m quite liking the freshness of this band, with their cacophony of instruments. And then lastly, we have Sun-Do Q’lisi. If you’ve even seen seen/heard of them you’re probably wracking your head as to how their set is going to translate into an acoustic one. They’ve assured me they’re going to work things out. Should be interesting.

Never heard of these bands/acts? Well, if you’ve never been to a #TuesOnFire, that is kinda the point. So come along and lend an ear. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Don’t forget to checkout Assembly Radio between 2pm and 4pm every Tuesday where you’ll get be able to get to know the acts that play on a Tuesday a little as they join me in studio.

And if you did attend any of last month’s gig, check out Laura McCullagh’s (resident #TuesOnFire photographer) galleries of all July’s gigs below. I bet she cheekily snapped you. She’s a ninja like that.
