Bruno Mars made history last night with the most watched Super Bowl Halftime Show with a record breaking 115.3 million viewers.
That figure surpasses the 110.8 million delivered by Beyonce last year and the prior record of 114.0 million set by Madonna two years ago. In addition, Mars made history last night as he took the stage as the youngest artist ever to serve as the sole NFL Super Bowl Halftime headliner. Mars’ performance drew the highest ratings of the game’s telecast.
Mars has seen an unprecedented spike in music sales immediately following his show stopping performance at all major retailers. Currently, certified double-platinum, “Unorthodox Jukebox” is back at #1 on the iTunes Overall Album chart while his debut “Doo-Wops and Hooligans” is at #3.
