Showcase: Music Video Monday

Mondays are not really the most awe-inspiring day of the week. Most of you need a good dose inspiration to get you through it, lord knows I usually do, so I took the liberty of showcasing three hot-off-the-press music videos that are bound to put you in a great mood. [Side note: It’s St Paddy’s Day today so my advice would be, grab a beer, sit back, watch and enjoy]

Grassy Spark – Waste Of Time. Shot and edited by the creative collective Naas, this track is summer and good times personified. Set against a house party on steroids, Yanick Bathfield (lead singer) urges you to forget those “early morning emails” and loosen up a tab. A slight word of warning, after you watch this, you’re probably going to want to take the rest of the day off.

DJ Clock featuring Beatenberg – Pluto (Remember You). The video for the #1 most played song on radio in the country for a couple of weeks now, was shot in 2 days by Joburg-based company Pilot Films. Enjoy a little feel good camaraderie between the guys as they keep dreaming about the same girl and seeing her everywhere they go.

Goodnight Wembley – Do Me No Good. Shot at On A Roll in Mowbray this video boasts a classic femme fatale, a waitress at a diner, who has everybody – from the customer to the cook – drooling after her. Watch the five members of Goodnight Wembley make idiots of themselves over the biggest tease who, well, just watch until the end…
