Last night AC/DC opened The Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in a blaze of rock ‘n’ roll fury, reaffirming the band’s status as one of the greatest rock acts of all time.
It’s a trip seeing Angus Young, clad in his trademark school uniform, strutting around like it’s 1980 all over again. Donning his trademark cap and hip-swivel, albeit slightly slower, Brian Johnson’s voice is still supremely cackle-laden and his pitch, pretty perfect.
Opening with ‘Rock or Bust’ they followed it up with the legendary ‘Highway to Hell’ at which point everyone in the audience put on little plastic devil horns. Eish. Props to the cameraman for catching the stupidly excited grin on Dave Grohl’s dace mid-performance.
2015 marks the 35th anniversary of “Back in Black” which still remains the 6th best-selling album of all time.
AC/DC is back motherfuckers. Watch the performance below.
