Watch Radiohead’s New Video ‘Burn The Witch’

The first taste from Radiohead’s upcoming ninth album is as freaky as they come. After teasing new music for ages, and all but disappearing from social media, the group dropped ‘Burn The Witch’ yesterday, complete with a chilling stop-motion video that’ll have you thinking twice about those small towns and the tiny birds that sing cutesy songs in nearby trees.

The video, according to director Chris Hopewell (who Radiohead previously worked with on ‘There There’), was apparently, “conceived, designed, built and animated in 14 days.” A crazy feat when you consider the amount of meticulous work that goes into any stop-motion creation.

The lyrics talk of pure societal panic and Thom Yorke sings, “Loose talk around tables/ Abandon all reason/ Avoid all eye contact/ Do not react / Shoot the messenger/ This is a low-flying panic attack.” We. Cannot. Wait. For. This. Album. Watch the video below.
