What could be better than an entire day devoted to the finest American Whiskeys, delicious southern-style food, and good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll? Not very much!
The House of Machines has partnered with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Gentlemen Jack, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Woodford Reserve, and Bulleit Bourbon, for Proof, the American Whiskey Festival, a day-long event at the end of May. The one-of-a-kind collaboration came about as a means to promote the best American Whiskeys available in Cape Town, and all the elements that make it such a beloved segment.
Between the six brand partners there will be eight whiskeys offered on the day, available in a variety of cocktails, with mixers, or straight up. Three off-street brand activation areas have also been set up, where all festival goers can enjoy an immersive brand experience, get one-on-one time with brand ambassadors, and learn about the whiskeys on offer.
Another highlight of the festival will be its selection of food vendors; The Shortmarket Club, Jason Bakery, Frankie Fenner Meat Merchants, and Picadas. Each vendor is creating a unique American-style dish just for the festival (think smoked ribs, slow-roasted brisket, pulled-pork, and more). Come hungry.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a festival without music, and the Proof team have an excellent line-up for the day; Roastin’ Records (DJ Set), Dave Ferguson, Sannie Fox, Gerald Clark, and AKING! The live music will kick-off at 13:00 and continue non-stop throughout the day!
Now the good people at THOM have given us 2 x Bougie Tickets (gets you into the festival and gives you access to exclusive activation rooms on the day, plus you get three American whiskey cocktails on the day to get your party started) to giveaway to one lucky person. All you have to do is comment on the bottom of this post and tell us which of the six American Whiskey featured if your favourite and why.
Winner will be contacted via email on Tuesday the 22nd of May.
