Lauded drummer Jason Oosthuizen recently launched his own signature snare drum range, J.O Drums. First of its kind in South Africa, everything besides the skins on J.O Drums, has been made from scratch in one place.
Jason being a collector of snare drums with over 60 in his collection, has always dreamt of bringing out a snare drum which is exactly what he wanted to play on. Everything on this new drum range is handmade and chosen by him to suit his preference, any drummer’s dream. His original plan was to make a once off drum for himself, but then decided that the design is too cool not to share with other drummers. Being great friends with Dayne Marshall from Marshall Music who understands Jason’s vision for many of his projects, it was a no brainer to have Marshall Music be the exclusive stockists of the J.O Drums range.
The J.O Drums are 100% handmade from start to finish, their focus the production of a snare that connects with the player who purchases it. It’s about the craftsmanship and connection you get when owning one.
The exclusive Rosewood signature snare drum, pictured above, are available from Marshall Music stores while stock lasts.
J.O Drums also plan to launch a Bass Drum Beater and Hi Hat Clutch within the next three months, with a full J.O Drumkit in November, another first for Africa.
Bringing fans the show stopping Led Zeppelin Tribute Show and Guns ’N Roses & Friends Tribute earlier this year, Jason Oosthuizen is back with his third new show, AC/DC vs Deep Purple Tribute.
The amazing line-up that will be performing the best of these two bands will include Dean Barrett from Dan Patlansky band, Werner Bosman from Jesse Clegg, Jason from Van Coke Kartel & Lost&Found, Marcel Dolmayda from The Voice SA, Robyn Ferguson from Sistas of Metal and Jow Feldman from The Narrow.
AC/DC and Deep Purple are two of Jason’s favourite Rock ’n Roll bands from the 60’s and 70’s and this show will bring you the ultimate night of rock ’n roll with some of their greatest hits, not to be missed.
