The best moment of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that took place over the weekend, happened not during the ceremony, but on the carpet beforehand.
It came courtesy of The Cure’s Robert Smith, who’s reaction to a very excitable American interviewer was, well, priceless.
Be still my goth-soaked heart.
It’s no surprise that his reaction has since gone viral to the delight of fans around the world who’ve hailed it as “Quintessentially British”.
After a lengthly 43 years in the music business, with a new album on the way and a headlining Glastonbury slot to look forward to, it’s great to know that Robert Smith – and by extension The Cure – will always remain the same.
