Iconic alternative Afrikaans album EET KREEF! gets new life breathed into it by Cape Town musos

Originally released by Johannes Kerkorrel & Die Gereformeerde Blues Band in 1989, EET KREEF! is now being given new life 30 years later.

Its now been turned into a concert tour that features the music off this legendary album with a fresh, new approach and arrangement.

The golden voice of Laudo Liebenberg, who needs no introduction, takes the role of lead vocalist while he’s backed by Frank Freeman (electric guitar), Sheldon Yoko (drums), Schalk van der Merwe (bass) and Etienne van Rooyen (keyboard).

Yes, it’s a mal line-up. Lend your ear below to their cover of “Hillbow” for a taste of what to expect.
