Tash Sultana and Matt Corby team up for a collab two years in the making and the result is worth the wait

Australian indie powerhouses Tash Sultana and Matt Corby found themselves in studio together back in 2017 and decided, a little down the line, to bless us with a track that took almost two years to come to fruition.

Not that I’m complaining.

“Talk It Out” is easily one of the bluesy-est, most psyched-out collabs I’ve heard this year.

Originally intended for Corby’s 2018 Rainbow Valley, the singer-songwriter felt that it wasn’t a right fit for that album, so he hit Sultana up and asked if he could revisit the track with her.

“He sent it to me to fill in the blanks, and it’s the first collaboration I’ve done with another artist that I’ve released,” Sultana explained to triple j this morning after it premiered.

It’s a sublime meeting of two multi-instrumentalist’s minds and the complementary give-and-take of their vocals make this pure sex music. Tell me I’m wrong.
