Everything You Need to Know About the 12th Namaqualand Flower Festival

A picturesque trail run to get your blood pumping, Grassy Spark headlining this tiny, wholesome festival, indulge yourself in a series of workshops on botany, bees and flower buds – you’re gonna need to let your hiking shoes become your dancing shoes for this one.

The Namaqualand Flower Festival was born from a commemorative September hike through the unique South African-Namibian biome. Increasing popularity over the years, aided by the welcome and groovy involvement of No Danger Diaries, and today – 12 years later – it’s a weekend festival rooted in environmental awareness and an opportunity to lose yourself in nature.

You’ll experience the life of camping, dancing in the moonlight, singing to your heart’s content and losing yourself under the stars. You’ll laugh ’til it hurts, go on beautiful bush walks, learn traditional dances and explore the depths of culture and nature.

What to Expect:

  • A boogie-worthy line-up of local bands and DJs
  • Secret Sunrise Cape Town to get your feet moving
  • Open Mic Night
  • Stargazing
  • Yoga
  • Picturesque Trail Runs (3 routes for varying fitness and age-groups – kids are welcome!)
  • A unique insight into Khoisan heritage of the area
