Always looking to keep things fresh, this year Daisies are bringing you a one-of-a-kind Ladies Campsite experience, featuring exclusive Q&A discussions with a global music industry leader and some of the ladies who are on the CAN DO! is Rocking the Daisies 2019 line-up.

In addition to daily guided yoga sessions, cocktails and a few surprises along the way, have a little look at some of the speakers below and get familiar with what they’ll be chatting about.

House music Queen and global icon Busiswa will be giving a talk in the Ladies Campsite, discussing her rise to superstardom, the difficulties in building her career and tips on how you can get a head start if you’re looking to occupy the same space.


Apple Music announced Shekhinah as the highest streamed female artist in South Africa, and her rise in the music industry is nothing short of inspirational. From starting out on Idols SA to dominating music charts, get to know what drives her, inspires her and keeps her a front-runner in the industry.


Beckie Sugden has been working as a booking agent for over 11 years and has worked in almost all musical genres across her time at WME, The Agency Group (now UTA), and currently X-Ray Touring. Her eclectic roster includes acts such as Anderson .Paak, RUSS, NxWorries, Noname, Joey Purp, Deaf Havana and Beartooth. X-Ray is home to some of the biggest artists in the world including Coldplay, Eminem, Green Day, Blur, Robbie Williams, Black Eyed Peas, The Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age and Chance the Rapper, to name but a handful. She’s going to give you a glimpse into her mesmerising world and share tips on how you can get your foot in the door.


Zethu Gqola is our Head of Marketing and one of the minds who conceptualised the Ladies Campsite in 2018. She will be giving a talk on what inspired her to create a space for womxn at festivals and insight into her 5 years working on Rocking the Daisies and her first year on In the City Festival (JHB).


Noxolo Mafu is the Deputy Editor of Cosmopolitan South Africa. From working at HuffPost SA to News24 and MORE, she’ll be serving us some heavy inspo on how she started out as a content producer and presenter to now heading up our favourite magazine.  Her work in media has given her first-hand experience in storytelling, content strategy and production for political, entertainment and lifestyle content, and she’s ready to share tips on all things media, and how you can get your foot in the door!
