Limpopo’s Ndlovu Youth Choir have been slaying all season on America’s Got Talent.
From a goosebump-worthy performance of U2’s “Beautiful Day” to a their unique take on Whitney Houston & Kygo’s cover of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love”, they’ve been a firm favourite from the very beginning.
So to end off their run on the global talent show by paying tribute to their home continent by performing “Africa” was fitting, and very smart because who doesn’t love a bit of Toto, yes?
“Tonight we were proud young ambassadors of a united Africa. Africa has the world’s youngest population, and our hope is that our performance reflected the talent, opportunity and potential of millions of young people. One nation, one continent,” the group wrote on Twitter and omg I’m definitely not crying.
The winner of the 14th season of America’s Got Talent will be announced tonight and to say that the entire country is rooting for these kids and their Neil Patrick Harris lookalike director would be an understatement – the entire continent is rooting for them.
