Ark 4 Africa, an ever-changing group of musicians with a mission, have released an inspiring video for their latest single “It Takes the World to Make a Miracle”.
The group was brought together to record and perform music to support Noah’s Ark: a state-of-the-art 100 square-kilometre conservation park set to be built on the north-eastern coast of Kwazulu-Natal, which aims to save species on the brink of extinction from all over the world.
It’s an ambitious project and the song matches that ambition. As the title suggests, it’s a battle-cry that hopes to bring everybody together under the banner of saving the world.
It would be easy to make the video all doom and gloom but, while there are some haunting visuals, there’s an under-current of optimism throughout.
Creative director Andrew Timm, the man behind the Ndlovu Youth Choir’s America’s Got Talent audition video, makes the daunting task of saving the planet seem manageable. The apocalyptic imagery is balanced by shots of the majesty of our pale blue dot, showing us that there is something worth fighting for.
The point of this whole project is a rallying call that it’s not too late to save the planet, and the video reminds if we all come together for the same cause then it is something that we can achieve.
Money raised from the streaming and downloading of the song will go towards supporting the project and donations can be made at https://noahsark.life/.
