iTunes has officially come to an end after Apple’s new Mac update

Before you click update on the new update for Macs (the macOS Catal) be sure to say your goodbyes to iTunes. That is assuming you still use iTunes.

Apple launched its iTunes Music Store in 2003 two years after the iPod’s debut and today, after almost 20 years, iTunes is officially no more. In its place are three individual apps: Apple TV, Apple Music and Apple Podcasts.

Apple’s music solution is now solely based on Apple Music streaming, browsing your library, and finding, downloading or buying new music.

And while this is indeed the end of an era, I’m very interested to see, especially with regards to music, how the streaming war is about to heat up.
