The Full Moon Fever tour in November will see a bunch of top SA musos come together to celebrate the music of Tom Petty

The death of Thomas Earl Petty in October 2017 was a gigantic blow to rock ‘n’ roll and the music world at large.

For over forty decades the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist crafted anthems that live on in the hearts of music lovers and so, in the absence of a Blood Brothers show this year, Full Moon Fever is about to take over.

Touted as a celebration of a rebel of rock, Full Moon Fever is a raucous journey through Petty’s catalogue with a few surprises thrown in. Some of our most seasoned music vets will pay homage to Petty and honour his life and tunes the only way they know how – by rocking the hell out.

The all-star line-up of musos paying tribute include Jonathan Tait (Hatchetman, Checkpoint Charlie), Basson Laubshcer (Zinkplaat, Valiant Swart, Ryno Velvet) Lucinda Neethling and Francois Cois Viljoen on guitars and vocals, Jason Hinch (Bok van Blerk, Black Cat Bones, Jonathan Peyper) on drums and Jaco Mans (Bok van Blerk, Tidal Waves) on bass.

Four special shows are scheduled between the 22nd to the 30th of November at various venues around Gauteng so make sure you check out the Facebook Page for all the deets.
