Last night I started watching Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow and the combination of Chance The Rapper, Cardi B and T.I. as judges is literally the best thing I’ve seen on a reality TV competition since the original judge line-up of American Idol.
In all honestly, my enthusiasm around James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke series has waned a bit over the last few months, but seeing Chance the Rapper as his next guest has reeled me back in because the cap-wearing self-made rapper has long been a favourite of mine.
The pair work out tracks off CTR’s latest album The Big Day, kicking things off with the stupidly fast John Legend collab “All Day Long”, “Hot Shower”, “No Problem”, and the Ed Sheeran duet “Cross Me”, before rounding things off with banger “All Night.”
There’s also some friendly banter about his friendships with Obama, Jay-Z, and Kanye (nice rap sheet) after which Corden tries to get CTR to eat vegetables and if I was him I would’ve bailed right there tbh.
