Billie Eilish has a history-making night at a Grammy Awards that was deep in mourning

We’ve been preaching the gospel of Billie Eilish for quite some time now, so it’s really heart-warming to see the 18-year-old get the recognition that she deserves after smashing multiple records in 2019.

Last night the dark pop singer scooped the four biggest prizes at the Grammy Awards, namely, Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

But she didn’t stop there – she also took home Best Pop Vocal Album, bringing her grand tally of wins to 5.

Her wins are historical for a number of reasons. Firstly, Eilish is now the youngest solo performer to ever win Album of the Year. She’s also the first first woman and second person ever to win all four of the aforementioned awards in one year, the first artist to do so was Christopher Cross in 1981.

And with a James Bond theme song on the way and a world tour coming up, Eilish’s new decade is looking rather tasty.
