Netflix’s “You” S2:E3 boldly features a Nakhane track in the very crucial house party scene (No Spoilers)

A lot of binge-watching was done my side over December and I’m not ashamed to admit that I streamed the second season of “You” in one day.

And it’s okay, don’t stress, there’re zero spoilers here pal, except of course if you don’t want to know what rad music was featured in episode 3.

I have nothing but love for Nakhane. The first time I saw him perform was at a Greenpop event at now-defunct Assembly venue in Cape Town, like, probably a decade ago.

From his ground-breaking performance in Inxeba to his continual effort to push genre and gender-norm boundaries, his career continues to go from strength to strength.

So imagine my surprise-mid episode 3 where Joe, now going by the name Will (relax, this piece of info was in the trailer), attends a house party in L.A. and while doing some general skulking, Nakhane’s “Interloper” off You Will Not Die (2018) spins broodily in the background.

Whoever compiled the music for this show is a genius. But seriously, the greater soundtrack is sublime.
