Francois Van Coke drops video for “Hey Babe” feat. his protégé Tasché and announces 4-date tour alongside The Voice winner:

If you think the above bar counter in the feature picture looks familiar that’s because you’ve probably had a wild night at it before.

The Shack plays home to the opening scene of Francois Van Coke’s new video for “Hey Babe” featuring Tasché. The track, off his latest canonical offering, Dagdrome in Suburbia, is an ode to his wife Lauren who he’s been with since 2001.

“It was a wild and turbulent time,” Francois explains. “But she stuck it out with me. We stuck it out with each other and it worked out. I’ve only written a few love songs, but all of them are for her.”

After the success of Van Coke’s Storytellers series at the CTICC, today he announces a string of intimate shows featuring acoustic renditions of his most popular hits and the stories these songs were born from.

Van Coke & Tasché will be backed by Die Gevaar guitarists Jedd Kossew and Richard Onraet and Van Coke will perform songs spanning his 17 years as front man of Fokofpolisiekar, Van Coke Kartel and now, as an award-winning solo artist.

Tasché will not only join Van Coke on stage, but will also be performing some of her own original material and cover versions, as performed on The Voice SA 3.  She will also share more about her crazy journey to date.
