Van Pletzen drop a legeh new video for “Dronk Op Liefde” ahead of their album release this Friday

The Kings of Mengels and satirical hilarity which never makes much sense – Van Pletzen are back with a fresh new video ahead of their imminent album release. Take note: LOVE & LEGEHNESS will drop this Friday.

For now, enjoy “Dronk op Liefde” – a sulky EDM-pop love song of a track. Pairing up with sidelong rapper Early B for the 6th – and far from final – time, the boys deliver a high-tone, beat-driven banger. But is it a banger? Yes, but it’s the sort which whines silkily along until Early B hops on for some quickly delivered rap lines halfway through.

The video, shot by PJ Kotze at new haunt, Romeos, in Melville, tracks an attempted gig by Peach Van Pletzen at the crowded venue. Peach takes the mic, all slicked-back hair, black polo-neck and yellow sunglasses in a sepia-toned general landscape. Nax sucks on a cigarette, dressed like a greasy casino owner, and watches on. The fun escalates only when Early B snatches the mic and a piñata full of joints is busted open.

This is all about being – you guessed it – drunk on love and loving it. “

Kyk and then Become Gereed because the album is coming real soon!” Peach threatens. We will, and we’re waiting.
