BLK JKS’ new album gets exclusive SA vinyl release to commemorate Youth Day and the resistance movement currently sweeping the world

A decade after their critically acclaimed debut album “After Robots”, BLK JKS are set to return with their sophomore release “Abantu / Before Humans”, (a prequel of sorts).

This vinyl-only release will be available in a limited edition of 100 units, with an option of 180g black vinyl or green/black coloured vinyl, and will be released exclusively in South Africa to commemorate Youth Day and to salute the Resistance Movement currently sweeping the globe. The album package with cover art by Nandipha Mntambo contains an exclusive hand-numbered inlay postcard.

All orders placed via Permanent Record will have an added option to support the Social Justice Initiative, an organisation advocating for systems that create fair access to resources and opportunities and advancing the dignity of all South Africans.

The broader international and digital release of the album is officially scheduled for January 2021, with a new European record label partner that will be announced in due course.

BLK JKS remain committed to their fans and friends during these strange times, and will soon be bringing the music back to the people.
