Noa Milan’s video for “Tattoo” is a tribute to the brokenhearted

Nothing says relatable like 1000 views a day which is what indie-folk SA singer-songwriter Noa Milan’s new music video to her single “Tattoo” is raking in.

With the strum of a guitar, Noa Milan conjures up the memory of a relationship that ended on the wrong foot in a break-up themed short-film directed and written by Storm Solomons two weeks before lockdown.

It’s evident that Noa Milan is no stranger to the camera as she gives a compelling better-to-have-loved-and-lost performance along with co-star Vinita Petrus and Hilton Pelser as they bump into each other in art class.

An agonising twist in the love tale triangle leaves Noa Milan feeling confused and empty – a war of emotions rages inside of her spilling over onto a canvas turning the shards of her feelings into another kind of beautiful.

“I wrote this song a few years ago. This one goes out to everyone who told me you can’t fall in love in a few weeks,” she explains. “To those who have had their hearts broken. To those who have broken some hearts and then lastly, to the one who broke mine – thanks for this song.”
