Meet Veezo View: a hip hop artist who made a drastic career move to follow his dream

It is not uncommon for hearts and heads to be in conflict over making potentially life-changing decisions. But choosing which one to follow is the real battle. Botswana-born hip hop artist Veezo View (real name Luvuyo Lejowa) chose his heart when he was about to board a plane destined for the London School of Economics and decided to turn around and pour his all into developing a career as a musical artist instead.

The rapper cultivated an interest in music at 17 when he used to spit bars and spin decks with Botswana radio presenter and DJ T.Izzy in a duo called “Broadway”. In 2011 he broke away from the duo, moved to Johannesburg and started building his name in South Africa’s hip hop circles going on to dominate major festivals with a handful of stars like Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C after dishing out his debut EP in 2016, V.I.S.A.

Now, Veezo View has ushered in the spring 2020 – along with his 31st birthday – with the fresh, feel-good release of a track produced by AmoBeatz & FlexTheNinja titled “Deja Vu”, and accompanying video shot by Cyc Jouzy featuring Wndrszn.

Veezo’s zeal pulses through the screen as he and Wndrszn vibe out at a groovy houseparty washed in teal and orange smoke. Veezo View’s energy feels charged up for industry domination. Watch this space.
