Jeremy Loops’ new video and directorial debut “Til I Found You” might just spark the next global dance challenge

Ever since the small surf town-hailing folk singer-songwriter released his lead single “Down South” feat. Motheo Moleko, from his debut album Trading Change in January 2014, I don’t think any summer has been complete without The Loopster serving us up an anthem.

2020 has already seen him release hit single “Mortal Man” and today, six months later, he drops “‘Til I Found You” which is also pegged to be a biggie considering it was co-written and produced by Jake Gosling and Tobias Kuhn who have flaunted their game alongside big names like Ed Sheeran (who Loops has also written with), Milky Chance and Jack Johnson, too.

Directed by Loops himself and accompanied by a tight edit by Ross Hillier, the breezy, feel-good track is brought to life through two main dance characters, Stoan “Move” Galela and Vuyolwethu Vuvu Nompetsheni who translate a heart-felt story of love and fulfilment with the fluid motion of their limbs.

“I had this very specific vision and I know as someone who creates, sometimes the best way to see out your ideas is to chase them down,” Jeremy tells me. “I think it captures this positivity and sonic energy that says so much under the surface, especially given this year.”

Follow Loops and his buoyant dance squad from a laid-back Kalk Bay, to Cape Town’s bustling city centre and let a sense of renewed hope envelope your being. I dare you not to smile.
