Following a leaked draft from the American Supreme Court privately voting to overturn Roe v. Wade last week, Rage Against The Machine has shared a statement supporting abortion rights.
Even though this is just a draft, if the court does decide to overturn the landmark case, abortion would no longer be protected as a federal right in the US, and each state would be able to decide individually whether to restrict or ban abortion, putting the lives of many in jeopardy.

Addressing this back in March, guitarist Tom Morello told Metal Hammer, “People who are offended by my politics on Twitter or Instagram, please know it’s because you weren’t intelligent enough to know what the music that you were listening to all these years was about.”
RATM are the latest in joining a long list of musicians such as Olivia Rodrigo, Lorde, Halsey, Phoebe Bridgers, Questlove and Chvrches singer Lauren Mayberry to speak out against the shocking draft opinion.
