Band Or Bust is back and looking to spotlight the best unsigned talent

At TATC we pride ourselves on showcasing the best in underground and independent talent, which is why we’re incredibly excited about the next chapter of Band Or Bust, alongside premiere Cape Town venue, The House of Machines, and Singleton Malt Scotch Whiskey, to find the cream of South Africa’s unsigned musical crop.

The winning act of Band Or Bust will walk away with a R5,000 cash prize, a slot at one of The House Of Machine’s festivals in 2023, career guidance and mentorship from all three judges, a professional photoshoot from TATC, and bragging rights to being the first Band Or Bust winner in 2023.

Submissions will be judged by Majozi (pop singer-songwriter, guitarist and all-round cool dude), Elle E (rock singer-songwriter, guitarist and all-round kickass woman) and TATC’s editor & founder, Tecla Ciolfi. The 3 judges will pick 6 finalists who will perform in pairs at The House Of Machines on 5, 12 and 19 May, with the finalist being announced at the Band Or Bust final on Friday 26 May at The House Of Machines.

The winner will be announced at the end of the evening. Entrance is free to all shows.
