RGRSNW has slowly been crafting his specialised sound and his latest offering is an experimental reiteration of his R&B roots.
The five-track EP, titled RESET, delves into tales of regret, love, and expression, embodying a journey towards self-improvement. Produced by the talented Baitu Manong, each track offers a unique soundscape for RGRSNW to navigate and explore, while collaborations with Imani Basquiat and Be.ntle enrich the EP’s sonic landscape.
Having already garnered recognition with previous offerings Love, Snow and Tundra, the contemporary rapper and beatmaker is not afraid to take risks. Opener “NEED” pairs crooning vocals with soft and sultry production, underpinned by the voice of an AI and robotic sound effects, speaking to the search for emotion in someone who feels emotionally detached – like a machine.
“SAY IT SLOW” is dance-infused while closer “LOCATION” is equally groovy, its electrifying rhythmic skeleton the heart and soul of this thrilling EP.
