Facing The Gallows announce hiatus: this isn’t goodbye, it’s just “see you later”

We’ve grown incredibly found of Facing The Gallows over the years. The guys are the best band to chat to and to photograph, and they’re one of the most energetic and engaging to watch live. So to say that it’s a bit of a bummer to see them announce a hiatus is a huge understatement.

But at least we can all take comfort in the fact it’s not the end. This is a reset and a refocus and we know that when they do return, it’ll be with a renewed force and vigour. Read their official statement below.

It’s been emotional, with many incredible and wonderful memories, special moments and epic nights sharing the stage with everyone on and off. We’ve been truly blessed to do what we do and walk away from every show grateful that we get to share our music with so many of you who give us so much back in return. The high flyers, stage divers, mosh stompers and the ones who stand giving it horns. Thank you.

We as a band have gone through a lot over the past few years. We’ve had many knocks and as much as we pick ourselves up and keep swinging, the arms are honestly getting tired and we’re feeling a little flat at the moment. So it’s unfortunate to have to let you know that FTG will be waxing a hiatus.

We feel that a solid break from everything is needed for us to recoup and gather our bearings again. We’ve been pretty unsettled with the excessive amount of member changes and adjustments in our lives, that for us to be back to our normal selves we’ve got to let the dust settle rather than blindly fight our way through it.

So this isn’t goodbye, it’s just “see you later”. We really need to get back to full strength. We need to come back with a settled drummer, we need to release the bangers we’ve been cooking, and it’s just going to take some time on the wings for us to get our riffs in a row.

Much love. High Fives & Stage Dives.
