Doomfairy’s “Muse” visualiser is both infectious and haunting

Doomfairy have been on an insane release run since their debut single “My Lips Bleed” back in April. Each track sees the supergroup pushing boundaries in their pursuit to create a unique, non-generic landscape for the local music industry, and this genre infusion continues on “Muse”. But, this time, listeners experience a different side to the group.

The electrifying track combines aspects of cyberpunk and dubstep to create a catchy song about heartbreak. The contrasting vocal styles, Kayleigh’s soft tone and Hanu’s gruff delivery, create a light and dark atmosphere, adding depth to the tune.

The visualiser, created in collaboration with Marc Du Plooy, features images that move fast, at the pace of the music. It cleverly captures the idea of someone running through your mind, with sometimes unsettling imagery.

This bold visualiser paired with their equally bold sound pushes Doomfairy into a new sphere, as they move away from their anime inspired look to present something that is hauntingly intimate.
