The beloved Old Mutual Music in the Gardens series is back, bringing top-tier musical performances to Johannesburg. The 2024 series kicks off on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the picturesque Mushroom Farm Park in Sandton. The opening concert features the internationally acclaimed PJ Morton (USA), the soulful Mandisi Dyantyis, and the rising star Wandile Mbambeni.
PJ Morton, a multiple Grammy Award-winning musician, singer, songwriter and producer, will headline the event with his phenomenal band, Afro Orleans. Known for his work as a solo artist and as a member of Maroon 5, Morton returns to South Africa with his latest album Cape Town to Cairo, inspired by his previous African tour.
Joining him are Mandisi Dyantyis, an award-winning trumpeter and afro-soul-jazz vocalist, and Wandile Mbambeni, a rising star from Johannesburg known for his unique blend of soul and African folk-country.
