South Africa’s ultimate outdoor music festival returns from the 6th to the 9th of February 2025 for a reunion at the river.
The first phase of artists has also been announced, including Australia’s Hollow Coves and local legends Francois Van Coke and Matthew Mole. Other highlights include Lucy Kruger and The Lost Boys, The Black Cat Bones, Droomsindroom, Albert Frost, Ben Dey, Die Piesangskille, Warongx, Murray, Freddy L, Luukhanyo & The Hii Rollers and Unyazi.
Unfolding at the much-loved original farm on the banks of the Breede River just outside Swellendam, Creekers know they’ll be getting some of the freshest sounds on the local music scene, plus an international injection from Australia. Oz’s Hollow Coves, a dynamic indie folk group hailing from Brisbane, blend an earthy sound of acoustic melodies and vocal harmonies. Quoting influences such as Angus & Julia Stone, Ben Howard and The Paper Kites, the boys have set out to deliver their own brand of indie folk across the world.
Established in 1990, the music festival continues to grow from riverbank to riverbank and now returns after a sell-out 2024 edition with over 2,500 attendees – the 2nd highest gathering in the festival’s history.
Early Bird tickets for the four-day festival went on sale on Friday 23 August to much creekerdom, and sold out in one hour! Yup, you read that correctly. When Creekers creek, they creek!
With less than six months to go, the countdown to Up The Creek 2025 has begun.
