David Scott, widely known as The Kiffness, has once again demonstrated his remarkable ability to blend humour with music, capturing the world’s attention with his latest viral hit, “Eating the Cats.”
The video has amassed over 50 million views within just 24 hours, with all proceeds earmarked for the Springfield SPCA.
The inspiration for “Eating the Cats” came from the recent presidential debate in which former US President Donald Trump made the bizarre claim that “immigrants” in Springfield, Ohio, were consuming cats, dogs and other pets.
Seizing the opportunity, Scott transformed this outlandish statement into a hilarious, infectious song that quickly captivated audiences worldwide.
The Kiffness has committed all the royalties from this unexpected hit—amounting to approximately $7,000 (over R123,000)—to the Springfield SPCA, a cause close to his heart.
“I knew I wanted to do something positive with this madness,” he said. “Whether you support Trump, Harris or neither, if you watched or streamed my song, the revenue from that is going to help stray animals in Springfield, Ohio, and that’s a beautiful thing.”
The Kiffness continues to use his platform to make a meaningful impact, blending his unique musical talent with a commitment to charitable causes.
