Yesterday RAMfest announced USA band The Devil Wears Prada and Dutch band Bongloard as their headliners for this year’s Halloween double-header in Pretoria and Cape Town
The Devil Wears Prada is a 6-piece American metalcore band from Ohio, that began as a Christian metalcore band and gradually incorporated elements of space rock and heavy metal into their music. To date, the group has released eight studio albums with their last, Color Decay, back in 2022. This is the group’s first trip to SA and the news was welcomed with open arms by their niche SA following.
Bongloard is a hard-hitting noise-punk/alt-rock trio with roots in Brabant and The Hague, who quickly built a reputation in the Dutch underground scene for their raw energy, gritty guitar riffs, and powerful, unfiltered sound. They’ve brought a unique edge to the alt-rock genre and we’ve heard that their live shows are quite something.
