Glitch Culture’s MOVEMENT.2 // Resonance promises to be a night of connection and collaboration

In February 2023, we attended a very special show at The Daisy Jones Bar in Stellenbosch. MOVEMENT.1 // Reunion hosted by Glitch Culture was a night where five bands seamlessly merged their craft, and nothing mattered but the music.

“Nothing will ever beat the feeling of standing in a crowd listening to musicians make music that means something, and that night, it meant something to the people there.”

This is what we had to say about the evening, featuring performances by Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys, Dangerfields, Wombed, Orah & The Kites and Finch Quartet. Big shoes to fill? If there’s anyone that can do it again, it’s the people behind Glitch Culture.

They return this June with MOVEMENT.2 // Resonance — presented in collaboration with The Good Times Co. — and it promises to be even better than their first instalment.

Featuring Dangerfields, Sold Ash, Odwa Bongo, Blue Vow, DARC, Caturra and a special DJ set by Midnight Gospel & Friends to close out the night, this unique live initiative is all about creating something that feels curated, atmospheric and memorable—with an incredibly diverse lineup offering a world of genres in one night.

In fact, part of the core ethos of the event is to introduce different artists to one another’s audiences and fans. Collaboration is at the very heart and spirit of the show—artists are encouraged to feature on each other’s sets, reimagine songs together, experiment and explore.

Daisy Jones’ high-quality production will further ensure a live experience that’s more than just a gig.

It’s all going down tomorrow night, June 7th, so get your tickets before they’re gone! Doors open 16:00 SAST.

Be there or be f**king square!
