Chart-topping Canadian artist Jamie Fine is Mzanzi bound, and will be performing in select cities across the country this coming September and October. But wait – that’s not all. Fine’s tour will also be used as an opportunity for local schools to raise funds and win cash. Very ubuntu.
On Fire Events, the team behind Fine’s tour, is launching a one-of-a-kind School Fundraising Challenge, offering a select number of schools the chance to earn up to R100 000 or more in cash, simply by selling tickets to Fine’s concert.
“This isn’t just a show. It’s a movement to bring communities together, support schools, and
give young people access to world-class entertainment,” says the On Fire Events team.
Each participating school will be given a custom discount code that unlocks specially
priced tickets at R400 (regular price R550) for the Jamie Fine concert. Schools will receive R25 000 in cash for every 500 tickets sold using their unique code. With no cap on how much they can sell, schools could rake in R100,000 if they sell out.

“This initiative is a win-win,” says a spokesperson for On Fire Events. “Schools raise
essential funds, learners get excited about live music, and the community comes together to celebrate something extraordinary.”
