Bongeziwe Mabandla has announced his Solo tour, an intimate journey across South Africa that kicks off on 16 October 2025 at Hue Café in Durban. Known for weaving soul-stirring melodies with deeply personal storytelling, the award-winning singer-songwriter is stripping it all back to connect with fans in smaller, close-knit venues. If his gorgeous press photos are anything to go by, the shows promise to be stunning – a blend of reimagined classics and previews of brand-new music, giving audiences a rare glimpse into his next chapter
Fresh off the back of his sold-out amaXesha South African tour and a string of acclaimed European performances, Mabandla returns home to create something more personal. Stops include Gqeberha, Makhanda, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Stellenbosch, Muizenberg, and Cape Town, with most dates already sold out. The run will close with a special fundraiser at London’s legendary Fabric nightclub for Bridges For Music.
Speaking to TATC on the upcoming tour, Mabandla reflects: “This tour is my way of slowing down, listening deeply, and meeting my people. I want to walk into rooms with fans, share new music, hear from you, and feel the spirit of our connection.” With his stripped-back approach, fans can expect old favourites from Umlilo, Mangaliso, iiMini, and amaXesha reimagined in intimate arrangements, making this tour one of his most meaningful yet.
Tickets for the remaining shows are available at bongeziwe.com.
