UK electronic music institution fabric London is kicking off 2026 with a return to South Africa, announcing two new shows in Johannesburg and Cape Town on the 9th and 10th of January. After selling out its debut events earlier this year, the iconic UK club brand is doubling down on its growing local following with bigger production, expanded line-ups, and a continued effort to bridge global club culture with South Africa’s own flourishing electronic scene.
Both shows bring heavyweight international selectors to local stages, with Berghain stalwart Marcel Dettmann, Gerd Janson and Gabrielle Kwarteng leading the charge. Johannesburg’s event sees fabric team up with techno mainstays TOYTOY for a three-floor takeover of AND Club and Carfax, with Vinny Da Vinci adding South African pedigree to the bill.

In Cape Town, fabric breaks new ground as it transforms the Castle of Good Hope into a full-scale electronic music playground, complete with large-format projection-mapping visuals and a Room 2 hosted by boundary-pushing queer collective, HE.SHE.THEY.

The January dates signal a deepening partnership between fabric and the South African scene, foregrounding local spaces and artists while expanding the global reach of the brand’s 25-year legacy.
With tickets now live on Resident Advisor and Howler, the 2026 edition looks set to cement fabric’s place as a recurring (and increasingly ambitious) fixture on the country’s electronic music calendar.
