fabric London Unveils Killer Local Lineups for Johannesburg and Cape Town Shows

Global clubbing institution fabric London is doubling down on its relationship with South Africa’s electronic music scene, unveiling a stacked local lineup to join international heavyweights Marcel Dettmann, Gerd Janson and Gabrielle Kwarteng for two highly anticipated shows in Johannesburg and Cape Town this January. The events mark a deepening collaboration between fabric and the country’s underground, pairing global icons with some of the most exciting DJs and producers working locally right now.

The Johannesburg edition lands on Friday, 9 January 2026, with fabric teaming up with TOYTOY for a three-floor takeover of AND Club and Carfax. Headlined by South African house pioneer Vinny Da Vinci alongside Dettmann, Janson and Kwarteng, the night leans into Joburg’s deep, soulful and techno-rooted lineage. Support comes from a heavyweight local cast including Abby Nurock, Avi Subban, Black Lake, Bongani Zulu, Cornelius SA, Illing, Karmerr, Paulo Lundall, Sanetran, Sir LSG and Transmicsoul, promising a full-spectrum snapshot of the city’s dancefloor DNA.

Cape Town follows on Saturday, 10 January, with a rare and ambitious takeover of the Castle of Good Hope, transforming the country’s oldest building into a multi-room electronic playground. Horse Meat Disco joins the international bill, supported by a diverse local lineup spanning house, disco and experimental sounds, including Athie Umgido, Digital Sangoma, Irshaad S, Lady M, Leighton Moody, Miss CJ, Raresoftware, Resident DTK, Thamiache, Wata Mami and YAMZ. With immersive visuals, historic architecture and a lineup rooted in community and craft, the two-night run positions fabric not just as a visiting brand, but as an active collaborator in South Africa’s club culture.

Tickets for both shows are on sale now via Resident Advisor and Howler.
