Acclaimed rapper Gunna’s South African visit isn’t all big stages and festival crowds. Touching down in Johannesburg this January, the Atlanta superstar is bringing something far more intimate and innovative with him: the Wunna Run Club, a 5km community run that blends wellness, music and connection, and offers fans a rare chance to meet the artist offstage and in motion.
Taking place on Friday, 9 January 2026 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, the Wunna Run Club lands in the city during the African leg of Gunna’s Wun World Tour, presented by Milk & Cookies. First launched in New York, the initiative grew out of Gunna’s own commitment to balance and discipline, evolving into a global movement centred on community and shared purpose. Open to all fitness levels, the run is designed to be inclusive rather than competitive, bringing together first-time joggers and seasoned runners in a space where movement and culture meet.
The Johannesburg edition arrives ahead of Gunna’s headline performance at Milk & Cookies Festival, extending the weekend beyond the usual artist-fan dynamic and placing wellness at the centre of the experience.
Tickets for Wunna Run Johannesburg are available now via Howler, with the 5km run kicking off at Nasrec’s Johannesburg Expo Centre on the morning of 9 January.
