Scorpion Kings on track to become second biggest concert in FNB Stadium history

Amapiano duo Scorpion Kings are on track to make South African live music history. Just one week after tickets for their upcoming show at FNB Stadium went on sale, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small have already sold more than 70,000 tickets for the stadium show, with over 500,000 fans reportedly joining online queues in an attempt to secure seats.

Set to take place at FNB Stadium on 19 September 2026, Scorpion Kings Live at FNB Stadium is now on course to become the second biggest concert ever hosted at the venue, behind U2’s historic South African performance.

Reflecting on the response, DJ Maphorisa said, “The love has been on another level. Seeing fans show up and stay with us all the way just to get tickets means everything.” Kabza De Small added, “We’re grateful to every single person who waited and showed us love. That patience, that support – this is what A Family Affair is about. This is bigger than us, it’s for the culture and for the people.”

In response to the overwhelming demand, the Scorpion Kings team has submitted an application to release an additional 10,000 tickets, which pushes the potential attendance even closer to record-breaking territory.
