Pixie Whip – “Dream, Baby, Dream”

Manana – “Don’t Say the Words”
Manana opens a new chapter with “Don’t Say the Words”, an effortlessly smooth slice of R&B built around the quiet tension between what’s spoken and what’s left unsaid. Pairing his unmistakable vulnerability with a richer, groove-led sound, the single finds one of South Africa’s finest songwriters sounding quietly rejuvenated.
Kade Bryden – “Watched It Ring”
Leaning further into Americana and alt-rock, Kade Bryden finds himself documenting the strange numbness that follows heartbreak rather than searching for closure. “Watched It Ring” is understated, restrained and all the more affecting because of it.
Tree63 – “Voyage”
More than a decade since their last album, Tree63 return sounding refreshed without abandoning what made them one of South Africa’s defining rock bands. Driven by shimmering synths, soaring melodies and John Ellis’ enduring songwriting, “Voyage” feels less like a comeback than the beginning of an entirely new chapter.
Likkewaan – “Emerald Eyes”
Inspired by surf culture and the sublime beauty of the ocean, “Emerald Eyes” captures the feeling of being carried by a perfect wave. Sweeping guitars, shimmering synths and an irresistible groove make it one of winter’s most transportive listens.
Malcolm Todd – “Obessica”
Malcolm Todd’s “Obsessica” stands out by pairing a dizzying groove with a refreshing dose of lyrical vulnerability. The track cleverly transforms the exhaustion of infatuation into an infectious, synth-driven anthem that immediately commands repeat listens.
