Leon Bridges is heading to South Africa this November, with the Grammy-winning R&B singer set to perform two shows in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The Texas-born R&B artist will bring his acclaimed live show to Marks Park, Emmarentia on Saturday 28 November, before heading to Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden on Monday 30 November.
Bridges arrives in South Africa shortly after the release of his fifth studio album, Happiness Anytime, out 25 September via Columbia Records. Produced by J Lloyd and Lydia Kitto of Jungle, the 12-track album sees Bridges return to some of the warmth of his debut Coming Home while leaning further into the groove and an adventurous spirit. The album follows Good Thing, Gold-Diggers Sound and his self-titled 2024 record Leon, which have seen him expand his R&B sound while retaining the vintage sensibility that first made his name.
“I’ve wanted to play South Africa for a long time, and I’m really excited to finally make it there, especially with this album, for these two special shows,” says Bridges.
Johannesburg’s show will feature BCUC and Wandile Mbambeni, with tickets from R795 excluding booking fees, while Cape Town’s Kirstenbosch date will feature Msaki, with tickets from R995 excluding booking fees. Both shows run as afternoon/evening events, giving local audiences their first chance to catch Bridges live as he brings Happiness Anytime to the country.
Tickets for both shows go on sale 9AM Wednesday 24th September 2026 from Webtickets.
